I had a dream
Within a dream
Where I slept soundly
No words, no thoughts
No limit, no boundary
The dream of a dream
I have ever so often
Was cousin to an illusion
Made me feel warm
Like sunrise to a setting sun
I slept some more
For in my dream I could
Build my own landscape
In my little world
I could carry a different face
When the night walked away
My dream faded
The light of the mind
Grew dim, grew down
Gone was the sleep of a child
I awoke, I was crying
Because within a dream
There isn't reality
Within a dream
Is another fantasy.

Thankkssssssssssss..:)
I kinda liked this one too..I'm usually very very critical of what I write..but well I like this one:)
within the dream isn't fantasy
but desire and desires are real
not fantasized

Ethereal - almost surreal (!).
I like!
At the risk of repeating myself, do read http://eserver.org/books/poe/dream_within_a_dream.html - my favourite poem.
Afterthought: All dreams trammel desire? Not so sure..
Lolly..most desires are fantasized..how else do they remain desires..and never become a reality
Thanks surreal..that poem was beautiful!!..:) now i feel like a rotten poet. hehe..
foggiest idea..i haven't the foggiest idea who u are..i guess that was the whole idea eh;)lol anyway thanks for stopping by..
PS-a glass of wine does wonders to a jet lag..*grin*
desires are fantasized??
so everytime you desire for something, that something is a fantasy?
how you go about filling that lacunae could be a big fantasy but your end object is real and thats why we tend to fantasize
